Who is Walt Disney? Walt Elias Disney was an american entrepreneur, animator, voice actor and film producer. He was mostly well known for being one of the two founders of the company named after his own first and last name The Walt Disney Company or more commonly known as just Disney, and he was also famous for creating many iconic characters one of them of course is the poster boy and a icon of the Walt Disney company himself Mickey Mouse.
Walt Disney's life Walt Elias Disney was born in Chicago December 5 1901. Early in his life Walt had an interest in art and he took art classes, eventually getting a job as a commercial illustrator at the age of 18. In 1923 Walt Disney and his brother Roy Disney founded Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio which was then named The Walt Disney Studios in 1926, then it's name was change to Walt Disney Production in 1929 until eventually changing it's name again in 1986 to The Walt Disney Company. Walt Elias Disney was a heavy smoker and unfortunately he passed away due to lung cancer in December 15 1966 at the age of 65.
Walt Disney's accomplishments Walt Elias Disney in his time earned 22 Academy Awards from 59 nominations as well as two Golden Globe Special Achievement Awards and an Emmy. He also has made more then a 100 feature films.
Why I chose Walt Elias Disney
I chose Walt Elias Disney because I like animation and I like animated movies even more and those include animated Disney films, because of that I was interested who was the mastermind behind these movies who gave these moving pictures life and personalitys then I found Walt Elias Disney, I read his biography and became more interested because not only is he an animator he was an entrepreneur in the western animation industry.
